Shipping & Processing

At Tara and Gems, every piece of jewellery is carefully handmade to order, allowing us to give each item the time and attention it deserves. Because your jewellery is individually prepared for you, please allow a little time for us to create, quality-check and carefully package your order before it is dispatched.

Processing Time

Once your order has been placed, please allow 1–2 working days for processing and preparation. Processing times exclude weekends and UK bank holidays.

Although many orders are completed and dispatched within one working day, please allow up to two working days during busier periods. If your order requires personalisation or a bespoke alteration, additional processing time may occasionally be required. If this is the case, we will contact you with further information.

Once your order has been carefully prepared and dispatched, you will receive a confirmation with your shipping and tracking details where applicable.

UK Domestic Shipping

48-Hour Tracked Delivery — £2.99

A tracked service with an estimated delivery time of approximately 48 hours after dispatch.

Next-Day Delivery — £9.99

A faster delivery option for customers who require their order sooner. Please note that next-day delivery refers to the delivery service after your order has been processed and dispatched. Orders placed on weekends or bank holidays will be processed on the next working day.

International Shipping

Europe — £9.99

USA & Australia — £10.99

Other International Destinations — £11.99

International delivery times vary depending on the destination, postal service and customs processing. Once an international order has been dispatched, delivery times are outside our control and may occasionally take longer than expected.

Customs & Import Fees

For international orders, customers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, VAT or other fees that may be charged by the destination country. These charges are not included in our shipping prices and are determined by the relevant customs authorities.

Please also be aware that customs inspections and clearance procedures can occasionally cause delays. Unfortunately, these delays are outside of our control, and Tara and Gems cannot be held responsible for delays caused by customs or local postal services.

We always carefully package and dispatch your jewellery with the intention of ensuring it reaches you safely and promptly. Thank you for your patience and understanding while we take the time to prepare your order with care.

Returns & Exchanges

At Tara & Gems, I want you to feel completely happy and confident with your purchase. If, for any reason, you are not satisfied with your jewellery, I’m happy to accept returns under the following conditions:

• Returns must be requested within 14 days of delivery.

• Items must be unworn, unused and in their original condition, including the original Tara & Gems gift box and packaging.

• Return postage costs are the responsibility of the customer.

• Customers are responsible for ensuring returned items are securely packaged and safely returned. Tara & Gems cannot be held responsible for items that are lost or damaged in return transit.

• For non-faulty returns, the original shipping cost is non-refundable and will be deducted from the refund.

• Any loss in value resulting from an item not being returned in its original condition may be deducted from the refund.
  

Items Not Eligible for Return or Exchange

For hygiene, safety and product-specific reasons, the following items cannot be returned or exchanged:

• Custom-made or personalised jewellery

• Earrings, for health and hygiene reasons

• Items that have been worn, damaged or altered after delivery

• Sale or clearance items
  

Faulty or Damaged Items

If your jewellery arrives damaged or you believe there is a fault with your item, please contact me as soon as possible with photographs and details of the issue. I will be happy to review the matter and work with you to find an appropriate solution.

Every Tara & Gems piece is beautifully presented in a luxury padded, branded gift box, finished with a ribbon and carefully prepared ready for gifting — at no additional cost.

Each order also includes a complimentary jewellery polishing cloth, so you can keep your jewellery looking beautiful and well cared for.
